ऊर्ध्वं विरिञ्चिभवनात्तव नाभिपद्माद्रोमावलीपदजुषस्तमसः परस्तात् ।
मुक्तौघमण्डितमुरःस्थलमुन्मयूखं पश्यामि देव परमं पदमेव पश्चात् ॥६३॥
T: Oh, Lord Śrī Varadarāja, in Lord Brahma's abode situated on Your lotus navel, on the Tamas appearing as the circle of hairs, the rays of light scattering darkness shine from the pearl bunches (also means the group of liberated Jīvas) situated on Your chest, the seat of liberation, I see!
Explanation: Above Brahmaloka are regions of darkness one has to traverse to reach the final abode of liberation, viz., the Lord's Paramapada. Those Jīvas who are blessed to be liberated are there experiencing eternal bliss. The Lord's navel is the lotus seat of Brahmaloka. Dark hairs on the Lord's body just above that spot indicate Tamas's dark regions. The Lord is wearing dazzling pearl necklaces on His chest just slightly higher. Since the Lord's chest signifies Paramapada, the poet imagines that the brilliance emanates from the light of bliss of liberated Jīvas on the Lord's chest! The pun on the word Mukta (pearl and liberated Jīva) is an example of Śleṣa figure of speech.
