॥ ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय ॥
भक्तापायभुजङ्गगारुडमणिः त्रैलोक्यरक्षामणिः
गोपीलोचनचातकाम्बुदमणिः सौन्दर्यमुद्रामणिः ।
यः कान्तामणिरुक्मिणीघनकुचद्वन्द्वैकभूषामणिः
श्रेयो देवशिखामणिर्दिशतु नो गोपालचूडामणिः ॥२२॥
Translation: May that Supreme Jewel capable of warding off any danger in this world for a true devotee (like the Gāruḍamaṇi - the supreme antidote for snakebite), indeed the One who is the Supreme Protector for the denizens in the three worlds, the Only One who can bring the shower of grace to quench the yearning of Gopīs like the nascent raindrops in the sky quenching the thirst of Cātaka birds that settle for nothing else, the Jewel standard for beauty, the one Jewel who adorns exclusively the ample bosom (heart) of His beloved consort Rukmiṇī, the Lord who is the Supreme Crest jewel of gods as well as the Jewel i.e. Śrī Kṛṣṇa lording over Gopālas in Gokula, confer on us our true wellbeing and prosperity!
Notes: Gems and jewels hold a fascination and attraction for all of us for their beauty and rarity, and even carry mystical symbolism in our Dharma. Here the devotee says that the only Jewel or Gem he needs is the Lord Himself, with His omnipotence, beauty, lovability and grace.
