राजन्त्यनर्घमणिसङ्घमये किरीटे राजीवलोचन न नीलमणिप्रवेकाः ।
आघ्राय गन्धमलिनस्तव कुन्तलामन्तः प्रवेष्टुमनसः परितो निलीनाः ॥१०४॥
T: Oh Lotus-eyed Lord, those shining elements in Your crown studded with precious gems are not the best of blue sapphires. They are, in fact, the bees swarming to enter Your glorious crown, attracted by the fragrance of Your curly locks!
Explanation: There are many brilliant gems in the Lord's crown. Some of them are shining blue sapphire gems. The poet avers these objects are not sapphire gems but honeybees! The bees are swarming around the crown because they are attracted to the ethereal fragrance of the Lord's curly hair! Seeking to somehow enter within are the bees swarming the crown. This is Śuddhāpahnuti Alaṅkāra. This figure of speech removes the gem-ness of the Sapphire and imposes the bee-ness on it. The definition of this Alaṅkāra is शुद्धापह्नुतिरन्यस्यारोपार्थो धर्मनिह्नवः|
