सौवर्णसालवलयान्समनुप्रविश्य कोशानिव त्रिदशनायक कोऽपि धन्यः।
आनन्दवल्ल्युदितदिव्यफलानुरूपं रूपं त्वदीयमवलोकयतेऽभिरूपम् ॥
T: Oh, the supreme Lord of all all the gods, Śrī Varadarāja! Golden in appearance, the five progressive enclosed corridors in Kāñcī, golden in appearance, hark to the five Kośas or enclosures surrounding the Jīva as stated in the Ānandavallī of the Upaniśad. Passing through them, and entering Your presence, only a rare fortunate devotee truly beholds Your supremely beautiful form that matches the supreme bliss described as the Ānandamaya Kośa.
Explanation: Ānandavallī in the Taittirīya Upaniṣad states that there are five Kośas enclosing the embodied human being (Jīva). They are Annamaya, Prāṇamaya, Manomaya, Vijñānamaya and Ānandamaya Kośas (physical, vital, mental, intuitive and blissful). The innermost Kośa is the Ānandamaya Kośa which is the same as Parabrahman, according to some scholars. Others, citing the Upaniśad statement, तस्य पुच्छं प्रतिष्ठा and so on, maintain that Parabrahman is beyond Ānandamaya Kośa. Thus, whether the golden enclosures are counted as four or five is a matter of debate and one can take it according to one's inclination. The intended import in this stanza is this: the unexcelled final state of supreme bliss in the Upaniśadic declaration, also called Parabrahman, is the same as the experience of looking upon Lord Śrī Varadarāja of Kāñcī.
The comparison between the golden wall-enclosures of the Kāñcī temple and the five Kośas (encompassing the Jīva as stated in the Upaniṣad) is an example of Upamālaṅkāra (उपमालङ्कार).
