My attention was drawn to the way Bhagavan Sri Ramanuja begins his greatest work, the Sribhashyam, which is a definitive interpretation of the Brahmasutras.
In this invocation, Sri Ramanuja says,
In that Parabrahman Lord Srinivasa, who is playing the sport (lila) of creation, preservation, and annihilation of all the worlds, who has avowed to protect and nurture all creatures who come in surrender, who is shining most luminously as the pinnacle of all Vedas; in that Srinivasa, may my intellect, fructified into devotion, be totally immersed.
